The One That I Want
I suppose by now you’ve all seen the latest Chanel N°5 commercial featuring Gisele Bündchen… It’s actually a film, directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Nothing against Chanel N°5 film, but I remain a Coco girl — the original, not the re-makes. Nothing against Bündchen, but the most mesmerizing thing about that ad is the music.
When I first heard it, I thought it was by Fever Ray, who does the theme for Vikings. (Which, by the way, is an awesome song — and one hell of a sexy show!) But it turns out the remake of John Farrar’s You’re The One That I Want (made famous by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in Grease) is by Lo-Fang. It’s off the Blue Film LP — and it is most definitely the one that I want. As always, donations & gift cards are accepted! *wink*
Song aside, I must make one other note…
It has always terribly annoyed me that Dior used Marilyn in their J’Adore perfume ad. Everyone knows Marilyn Monroe wore Chanel N°5.
