PJ Salvage Intimates: The Nightie That Converts Another Lingerie Lover

When a sample of PJ Salvage’s intimates collection arrived at the house, I was smitten with the black lace print on teal and the feel of the nightie’s fabric — 95% modal, 5% elastane, so soft yet slinky! Plus lots of black lace and a black satin ribbon corset-style lacing at the center bust. But, as it was only a medium, My Girls were never going to fit in there… Enter teenage daughter — who spots it with a squeal.

Upon discovering it wouldn’t fit me, she instantly declared it hers and that she was going to wear it, over a black cami and black leggings, to Thanksgiving dinner. Which she did. (I certainly couldn’t counsel otherwise as I’ve been doing so for decades.)

Aside from the fact the the PR person’s random sample grab of black lace and teal lingerie was plucking two of my daughter’s heartstrings, the reason both my daughter and I were so smitten with this piece was the feel of it. (If you haven’t held modal with a touch of something to help it hold it’s shape and drape, then go to a store now and run some through your fingers.) Once she had put it on, it only got better.

Cute and comfy, with the feeling of slink and swing, this PJ Salvage nightie has now become her favorite thing. Of course she’s not wearing it to sleep in yet; she’s saving it for some more holiday plans first. But once she does sleep in it, I think she may never sleep in over-sized tees and shorts again!

You know how excited that has me, right?

I’m so looking forward to her becoming a fan of intimate apparel that I actually look forward to paying her lingerie bills! (I’m currently shopping at for more PJ Salvage intimates for her — and me — right now!)

I couldn’t find this exact print available for sale anywhere, but the style is just like this Be Mine Hearts On Black Chemise shown here. (Matching panties too!)

Some time has passed since I first started this post; I had to put it to the side to test how well the garment stood the test of time before reporting back to you. And I’m happy to report that the nightie has washed and worn very well. Little, if any, change in color, shape or fit — and it’s still making the holiday rounds. *wink*

I’d like to thank the P.J. Salvage team for sending me the free sample for review — it’s helped create another lingerie lover!

Hubby’s wallet’s not so thrilled, but he’ll get over it. *wink*

PS The official PJ Salvage website is currently undergoing some work; if you can’t find any of the intimates line there, check out PJ Salvage Intimates at Sleepyheads and 6pm.
