What’s this woman trying to block the photographer from getting a photo of?
Why it’s scantily-clad babes, used as lust-leaders to lure folks over to the Tecmo booth at the 2008 Tokyo Game Show.
As Kotaku reports, “Tecmo went for the industry standard ‘nearly naked’ look, opting for an extra, gossamer thin layer of tacky, shimmering polyester negligee.”
It seems rather ridiculous to me to use babes to push the product and then bother to try to block the cameras. Cameras just mean more eyeballs & press.
Then again, maybe the protective X’s were just part of the pitch — making the photographers want to sneak the shot, forming a crowd around the booth, creating “buzz.”
