Why Size Matters

Sadiste asked in a comment on this post why a too-small bra cup isn’t a good idea. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll be kind and rather than make anyone search the blog for past posts, I’ll re-state how ill-fitting bras, cup &/or band size, cause problems for women.

Bras which do not properly support breasts can lead to permanent dents in the breast tissue caused by the underwires, tearing and stretching of muscle and other tissue within the breast, stretch marks on the skin and, due to inhibited functions of the lymphatic system leading to a build-up of carcinogenic compounds, breast cancer.

Along with damaging the breast tissue, with there are the additional problems of back, neck & shoulders pain and even issues of breathing difficulties, irritable bowel syndrome and digestive problems.

But don’t just take my word for it. Read here, and then go get properly fitting bras.
