I Remember When I Wore This…

Via Gracie at MySpace I found this great bit about how women remember and relate to fashion.

In Friday Night Conversations About Elvis Presley, Marie Antoinette, Life Lessons Learned While Dressing Up, and the Possibilities of Henry Kissinger Getting His First Period the author marvels that his girlfriend would have such intricate, detailed memories of life based on costumes she wore. He finds the connections between the costumes, roles and her life experiences amusing (which as he writes wittily, it is), but really all women (that I know) are thus.

Fashion, be it a grade school costume, your daily street clothes, and your intimate apparel, is part of this emotional memory connectivity for women.
